VNS Health Personal Care “Your Voice” Employee Survey Results

In September 2022, the entire VNS Health Home Health Aide team was invited to share their thoughts with the “Your Voice” employee survey. Participation in the survey dramatically increased to 52% in 2022, compared with 23% in 2021. This feedback will help to improve the HHA employee experience with the goal of continuing to make VNS Health the best possible place to work. 

Overall, the VNS Health “Your Voice” employee survey results exceed the national HHA and New York state LHCSAs average results.

Here is how you felt about working at VNS Health Personal Care: 

  • 90% of VNS Health HHAs are proud to work here
  • 89% of VNS Health HHAs say their work gives a sense of personal accomplishment
  • 87% of VNS Health HHAs would recommend VNS Health as a good place to work

Here is what we want to work on: 

  • Your sense of belonging. 81% of you said you feel a sense of belonging at VNS Health. 
  • Your growth and development. 82% of you said you believe you have the opportunity for growth and development. 

While these are strong numbers, we want all HHAs to feel like they belong as a key member of the VNS Health team and can grow and develop here. We look forward to building upon current programs and creating new ways to support our HHAs. Furthermore, from what we heard in the survey comments section, another goal of ours is to improve communication with our HHAs.

In addition to these organization-wide focus areas, the Lead Supervisors are reviewing team results with the HHA Supervisors and they are empowered to create action plans specific to each of the teams.
