Who is Eligible to Participate in the Internal Mobility program?

Home Health Aides who have been employed with Personal Care for at least 6 months, are in good standing and do not have any documented disciplinary actions in the past year are eligible to participate.

What Resources Are There That Can Help Me to Improve My English Language Skills?

If you are an 1199SEIU member, you can sign up to attend free ESOL courses. The English for Speakers of Other Languages program is designed to help you as an adult learner if you need to improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The program offers eight levels of instruction ranging from beginner to advanced. I Have a Nursing Degree from Abroad. Is it Valid in the United States?

If I Recently Graduated from Nursing School and Have Passed My Licensure Exam, What Opportunities Are There at VNS Health to Support My Development as a New Nurse?

VNS Health offers a comprehensive Nurse Residency Program for new nurses. The Nurse Residency Program at VNS Health is a paid learning opportunity for newly graduated RNs interested in having home care as their area of specialty. Our program combines virtual classroom instruction with hands-on clinical home care experiences under the supervision and guidance of preceptors, educators, and the program manager. After successfully interviewing, you are hired as a full-time RN Resident and receive 90% of a nurse’s compensation while you complete your specialty training. Our robust curriculum guides you to meet competency within six months; thereafter, Residents graduate and continue to work as full-time RNs with VNS Health. New associate and bachelorette-prepared Registered Nurses with 1 year or less experience are eligible to apply.
