We are excited to announce job opportunities for the position of Staff Aide in Northern Westchester and Northern Long Island.   • Position: Staff Aide
  • Location(s): Northern Westchester and Northern Long Island
  • Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour, plus medical/dental benefits.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, guaranteed
  • Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., including some weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to VNS Health Personal Care team members and clients in day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with HHA Supervisors to ensure efficient service delivery.

Job Requirements:

  1. Valid Driver’s License: Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license
  2. Own a Car: A reliable personal vehicle is required for transportation (reimbursements for mileage are provided)
  3. Willingness to Work Multiple Short-Hour Cases: This job guarantees 40 hours per week, however, hours worked will be distributed onto multiple short-hour cases, so having a flexible mindset is required. (minimum 3 cases daily; mileage reimbursement provided)
  4. Geographic Availability: Ability to work in the neighborhoods of:
  • Westchester: Towns north of Tarrytown, Westchester: Sleepy Hallow, Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, Croton-on Hudson, Buchanan, Peekskill, Cortlandt Manor, Montrose, Verplanck & Crugers.
  • Long Island: Towns Along the Nassau–Suffolk Border: Oyster Bay, Huntington, Babylon, Plainview, Melville, Hicksville, Farmingdale, Massapequa & Amityville.

Qualifications:

  • HHA Certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
