Happy Memorial Day!

Dear Colleagues, 

I hope everyone has an enjoyable and restful Memorial Day weekend. As you go about your long holiday weekend, I also hope you’ll take some time to remember those who gave their lives in defense of our country.

I’d like to share a quote from remarks that Tammy Duckworth, U.S. Senator from Illinois and a military veteran, gave on Memorial Day a few years back. She said:

“While we can never fully repay the debt owed to those who lost their lives defending our nation, we must do everything we can to uphold our commitment to those who’ve worn the uniform of this great nation and to their families who have made significant sacrifices on our behalf.”

These are words we can all take to heart this weekend.
