Important: Masks Are Now Required When You’re with Clients Until the Flu Season is Over
December 2, 2025

Dear Team,
With the flu season now officially underway, the VNS Health Personal Care team is taking extra precautions to help keep you, your clients, and your family and friends healthy.
Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, December 3, VNS Health Home Health Aides will be required to wear a surgical mask during all client visits. This requirement will remain in effect until the flu season is officially declared over by the New York State Department of Health.
To ensure that all Home Health Aides are wearing a mask, we will be calling randomly selected clients each day to ask if their HHA wore a mask during their visit.
We ask that you please make sure you have enough surgical masks. If you need to order PPE, you can do so by clicking here to place an order through the online order form. If you need help placing an order, please reach out to your supervisor.
You can also pick up PPE supplies by visiting the VNS Health Personal Care office, located at 5 Penn Plaza, 12th Floor, in Manhattan. We’re open Monday through Friday, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
VNS Health continues to encourage all team members to get their flu shot and stay updated on all COVID-19 vaccinations that are recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and that you are eligible for. As in past years, all VNS Health team members were also required to get vaccinated against the flu or sign a flu declination form by Monday, December 1. If you have not sent in your proof of vaccination or signed a flu declination form, please do so immediately.
We thank you for your understanding and commitment to your clients and to our organization. Let’s all have a safe and healthy flu season!
