Important: Preparing for the Upcoming Storm Conditions

Dear Team,
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a blizzard warning from 6:00 a.m. Sunday morning, February 22, through 6:00 p.m. Monday evening, February 23, with snowfall expected between 13 to 18 inches as well as wind gusts of up to 55 mph.
Please take immediate steps to ensure safety and continuity:
- If you will be with your client today or tomorrow, please do your best to ensure your client has enough food, medication, and supplies in their home, in preparation for the snow. If they don’t, please let your supervisor know asap.
- Charge all devices fully in case of power outages.
- Plan for travel delays on mass transit and roadways.
- Contact your supervisor for all work-related concerns.
As a precaution, please note the following changes and cancellations for Monday, February 23:
- All Personal Care supervisors and teams will be working remotely on Monday, February 23. Therefore, all VNS Health Personal Care offices are closed for the day. If you need to contact your supervisor or Personal Care team member, please call to reach them.
- All in-services classes are cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.
- The orientation class that’s scheduled for this Monday, February 23 will be rescheduled.
