Thank You for Your Dedication During This Challenging Weather

February 25, 2026

Dear Colleagues,

I want to take a moment to acknowledge everyone’s dedication and collaboration during Monday’s blizzard and throughout the challenging weather we’ve had in recent weeks. From heavy snow to bitter cold and sudden temperature swings, these conditions have created serious challenges for the people we serve – and for you. Despite everything, you have all continued to deliver essential care to our patients, members, and clients.

To give just a few examples: our Home Care team initiated 150 Starts of Care yesterday, just one day after the storm, and Hospice operations are also back to normal. From Sunday to Monday, many of our home health aide team members worked double shifts and stayed overnight with their clients to ensure continuity of care. And over the past several weeks, our Behavioral Health team has been out in the brutal cold, locating clients who are unhoused and helping them access shelter and essential care.

Your response has been extraordinary, and I appreciate how difficult these circumstances have been. Thanks so much for your dedication to our mission, for showing up in tough conditions, and for working together to keep the vulnerable New Yorkers we serve safe and connected.
