What is One Safety Practice You Never Skip During a Home Visit? Tell Us and You Could Win $100!

Earlier this month, we recognized Patient Safety Awareness Week. This is an annual recognition week that occurs each year at this time. It is a great opportunity to raise awareness about safe patient practices and all of the safety steps each of you take each day as you provide care to your clients.

So, for March’s “Question of the Month,” we want to know…

“What is one safety practice you never skip during a home visit?”

It’s now even easier to enter the “Question of the Month” raffles. To participate for a chance to win $100, just click on the link below and choose from the list of potential short answer options OR you can write your own short answer. It will only take a minute!

To answer our question, click here.

Answers you can select from include:

  • I always check for fall risks around my client’s home like clutter, loose rugs, or poor lighting.
  • I never skip washing or sanitizing my hands before and after care.
  • I use proper body mechanics to protect both myself and my patient.
  • I double-check medications and report anything that seems off.
  • I always make sure pathways are clear and the patient is positioned safely before helping with movement.
  • All of the above.
  • OR write in your own answer!

Please submit your response to our March question no later than Tuesday, March 31st.

Remember, if you submit a response, you’ll automatically be entered into our “Question of the Month” raffle. We’ll then pick three winners at random. Each winner will receive $100 (10,000 points) through VNS Health Rewards!
