You Told Us You Needed Better Gloves—and We Listened! Here’s How to Order Them.

You recently told us that you needed better gloves to use while working with clients … and we heard you!

We are excited to announce that we will soon be providing nitrile gloves to all VNS Health Home Health Aides instead of the vinyl gloves that had previously been supplied.  

Using personal protective equipment (PPE) is an important way to protect yourself, your families, and your clients from getting sick. And one of the most important types of PPE that we all use is gloves, which is why it was so important to us that we make this change.

What are nitrile gloves?

Nitrile gloves are made from a synthetic rubber called nitrile. They are hypoallergenic and are usually latex-free, making them a good choice for people with latex allergies. 

What are the advantages of nitrile gloves over vinyl gloves?

Nitrile gloves are more durable, puncture resistant, and provide better protection against viruses, chemicals, and infection. They can even help prevent transmission of COVID-19 due to their dense material. Because of this, they are especially good for use in medical settings. They are also hypoallergenic, which is good for people who are allergic to latex.

How can I order nitrile gloves?

Nitrile gloves will be listed on the PPE Order form as one of the items you can choose from once the supply of vinyl gloves runs out. This will happen over the next few months. Vinyl gloves will no longer be available once our current supply runs out.
