Unit Manager Shama Barrett sends a shout out to Home Health Aide team member Leezel Barry (pictured left) and her supervisor Colletia Blair (pictured right) for their compassionate and dedicated work. A patient recently wrote in to thank them for the impact they have on her life. “I will only receive services from Ms. Barry because of all the excellent qualities that she demonstrates. She is one of a kind.” The patient also added, “Ms. Blair knows how to talk with me and always works things out in my best interest. She is definitely a team player and demonstrates the type of leadership skills every supervisor should have.”

February is Heart Month! Take care of your heart and yourself!

The American Heart Association suggests following these Life’s Essentials 8 habits for your overall health and well-being. This week, we’re featuring another one of these habits:

Quit tobacco. Use of inhaled nicotine delivery products, which includes traditional cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping, is the leading cause of preventable death in the U.S., including about a third of all deaths from heart disease.
