The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a blizzard warning that’s in effect through 6:00 p.m. today, Monday evening, February 23, with snowfall expected between 16 to 24 inches as well as wind gusts of up to 55 mph. Please take immediate steps to ensure safety and continuity; review this notice sent out on Saturday, February 22, and this updated travel notice yesterday, Sunday, February 23.

Update to Bereavement Policy: Upon request, Home Health Aides may receive a maximum of three consecutive days off with pay in the event of the death of an immediate family member (father, mother, sister, brother, child, spouse, domestic partner, grandparent, grandchild, or parent-in-law). The Personal Care team sends a big shout out to our VNS Health Rewards Honor Roll and Momentum Rewards recipients for the month of January! The HHAs who were on the Honor Roll for the month of January were rewarded for keeping their overall monthly clock-in and clock-out compliance using the HHAx app above 90%. The HHAs who were January’s EVV Momentum Awardees were recognized for the significant improvement in their clock-in and clock-out compliance using the HHAx app. Each of our Honor Roll and Momentum Rewards recipients will be rewarded with additional raffle tickets for this month’s cash prize drawings. Remember to wear a mask when you’re with clients to help keep your clients, your family and yourself healthy during flu. We will be calling randomly selected clients each day to ask if their HHA wore a mask during their visit.
