Best practices for using a Hoyer lift for transferring patients

Hoyer lifts can help safely move a patient from one place to another (chair to bed or bed to bath). A lift can reduce risk of injury to patients and caregivers when properly used. To read all of the FDA’s tips for how to safely use Hoyer patient lifts, click here.
